His Excellency Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, conducted an official visit to Qatar where he met with his Qatari counterpart, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The main purpose of this visit was to review the agreements previously signed between the DRC and Qatar, in order to implement them. Qatar is thus emerging as a key strategic partner for the DRC, which is why the President decided, a little over a year ago, to establish a diplomatic representation in the country. This initiative reached its pinnacle with the recent inauguration of the new DRC embassy in Qatar.
We look forward to serving the diverse community of people calling Qatar their home by providing information about the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a beautiful country in the heart of Africa. The DRC is endowed with enormous natural resource wealth, such as gold, copper, cobalt and uranium, and more than 80 million hectares of fertile, arable land.
